Manifesto

A garden, not a leaderboard.

Helping your نَفْسي towards Jannah, by nurturing good and leaving sin.

Most spiritual apps want to be productivity tools in disguise. They count, they nag, they shame. They borrow from Duolingo and Strava: green checks, broken streaks, motivational push notifications at 11pm. They treat your faith like a habit to optimize.

That isn't how the heart works. That isn't how Allah meets us.

Nafsi is built on a different premise: that the door to Allah is always open, that every sincere act adds light, that returning matters more than never leaving. The mascot is a tree, not a coach. The metric is bloom, not burn.

Three things we will not do

  1. No streak shame. If you miss a day, the language is “It's okay to miss a day. The important thing is you're here today.” Never “Don't break your streak.”
  2. No background music. No fake-hadith voiceovers. No AI-generated nasheeds. Calm Mode uses natural soundscapes and a distant adhan. That's it.
  3. No selling your data. Local-first, private by default. No social pressure. No “share your streak.”

Three things we will do

  1. Add good and remove bad. The Soul Garden grows when you pray, count dhikr, read Qur'an. It also clears weeds when you resist the habits you're trying to leave. Both matter. Both are worship.
  2. Treat your cycle with care. Nafsi for Her pauses salah without shame, surfaces permissible acts, and offers comfort du'as. Your tree keeps growing.
  3. Speak gently. Always invitational, never imperative. “Want to count tonight?” not “Time for dhikr.” Arabic terms are honored with definitions, never decorated as art.
Tend to your soul's garden through every act of worship, and cleanse it from what clouds your heart.
